While Mount Greylock takes bullying and injustice very seriously, I trust our members to be mature and enlightened individuals who can distinguish between the fictional plot of questionable moral content and real-life offenses. OOC =/= IC. Anything a character may say or do during a role-play does not directly reflect the mun's views or opinions.

Respect your peers. Do not harass or bully members inside or outside of Mount Greylock, including through the use of social media. It would be preferable for all parties to resolve personal conflicts privately, but should members feel in any way offended by an attack against themselves or others, I kindly ask them to notify the administration via note or DM. I am otherwise unable to act.

Mount Greylock has a zero-tolerance policy concerning art theft. Referencing is permitted, but it is necessary one understands the differences. Please reference this journal should you have any questions.

Triggers are very personal and differ from person to person. Triggering material can provoke traumatic memories in vulnerable individuals. When OOC, please practice vigilance. On the contrary, IC triggers are, at times, unavoidable. Mount Greylock obliges to remain attentive and forewarn its members of any possible triggering content they may wish to avoid.

Despite the group’s subject matter, Mount Greylock is a Rated R role-play group. This rating is given for frequent language and violence, nudity for sexual purposes, and drug abuse. This does not mean that the role-played content will exclusively feature any of the aforementioned. Still, it is to be expected that such subject matter may, at times, present itself both inside or outside of role-playing. That said, an R rating will not require proof of age to join. I expect both present and potential members to practice tolerance and maturity when the controversial or sensitive subject matter is introduced.

On a final note, Mount Greylock strives to nurture a positive relationship between its administration and members. I hope that you’ll feel comfortable approaching me, whether it be with concerns or to socialize.

For quick and easy role-play, please establish an RP Order. Always tag the person following you as to alert them of their turn. Please craft your post promptly or you will be skipped, although this is entirely dependent upon the rules and guidelines agreed upon by its participants.

Be inclusive and socialize with fellow members. Role-playing is most enjoyable when engaging with an audience. Private or closed role-plays are permitted, but open role-plays are favored and encouraged!

Stay In Character (IC) at all times when role-playing in the RP chat rooms. Only drop Out Of Character (OOC) when in an OOC chat room. If something must be said OOC in the presence of people who are IC, then enclose the OOC comment in parenthesis.

Do not metagame. Never use OOC information IC in any way. A character will only know as much information as is provided.

Godmodding or power playing is strictly prohibited except for admins or gamemasters (GM). Never force an outcome. Any action performed on a character should be phrased as an attempt. Provide others with the opportunity to consent and respond accordingly. Do not become upset if an outcome fails to meet your expectations.

Do not lorebreak. Lorebreaking is when a mun purposely disregards origin, culture or historical events that likely affects a character or scenario.
